The keynote address at your can’t-miss furniture convention.
The lighting has never been better. That’s because more and more facility operators are upgrading their dingy, sight-for-sore-eyes metal halide lighting systems to the lighting industry’s newest superstar: stadium and arena LED lighting.
Such is the topic of a scintillating article recently published by Forbes. The decision to go state-of-the-art, says writer Darren Heitner, is saving sports teams and convention centers what the French call beaucoup: mega-bucks—75%-85%, sometimes close to 90%, of their lighting bills.
And yet it remains one of the least talked about money trends in the “big events” industry.
We get it. The flavour of energy drink in the cooler doesn’t garner much coverage either. All heads are turned to the field, the court, the podium. It’s just that these new systems, powered by LED’s, make seeing what’s going on beneath the lights a whole lot easier on the eyes, not to mention the camera lens. It’s been said that the TV camera adds ten pounds and ten years—LED’s take back the pounds as well as the years and replaces them with the twinkle in the performer’s eye that audiences at home can see from their couch.
For those in the broadcasting booth and transmitting semi out back, LED’s mean near perfect lighting, or as perfect as lighting for such events can get. As Heitner explains, LED’s eliminate the shadows, glare, dark spots, and even hot spots common to older lighting systems.
And of course that other little perk mentioned earlier—they slash the energy bill in half. And then by half again. It’s a no-brainer, but only about 5% of venues are currently taking advantage of it, says Heitner. Don’t expect the secret to stay secret for long.
At Global Tech LED, we’ve researched the trends and listened to our customers. Now we’re pleased to offer a product to serve the needs of those requiring superior lighting for convention and arena events. Global Tech LED’s Pro-Bracket Mounting System for LED High Bay Fixtures will shine a new light—brighter, friendlier, easier-to-see-by—on the playing surface or on the platform. It’s a light that’s sure to enhance the experience and performance of everyone below.
Compatible with most fixtures, the Pro-Bracket is the ideal mounting system for any high ceiling application: arenas, convention centers, indoor sports facilities, warehouses, airplane hangars, you name it! It’s brilliantly engineered to allow multiple fixtures to hang from one mounting location, which drastically increases the wattages and light outputs possible—at a lower energy cost than the traditional, antiquated lighting methods that still haunt the industry.
This innovative mounting system made in the USA carries all of the same UL and DLC certifications of our other fixtures. It can be customized for almost any setting and design. The aesthetically pleasing hubs are contemporary and stylish, and we offer powder coating to refine the look and finish even further. In addition, customers can choose from among a host of options—white acrylic, clear acrylic, aluminium, or no veil—all of which result in a sleek, modern look.
